Flashback malware removal tool

Mac beginner here. I downloaded lion flashback removal tool yesterday and have had trouble accessing the internet ever since. Sites won't load unless I turn airport off then back on again. I have since found out that the download was for lion users without java installed, which I have. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it.

It's not likely the removal tool has anything to do with this. Unplug your router and modem, wait a couple minutes, then plug them back in. Hopefully that will do the trick. Sometimes these things go flakey and need a reset. I find myself doing it every month or two.

Thanks for that. It does seem to be a wi fi fault and just a coincidence that it happened after I downloaded the malware tool.
