Hi All.
I have just had a few macs rock up that I need to find a simple method of adding Printers. Currently there is a windows Print server that is configured and running. We then have in our shared start menu for Windows users a folder with each printer that they just click on if they want to install it.
Is there a way I could possibly mimic this (Yes, I understand no start menu ) however, I mean in the sense of having a shared folder they could enter to click and the printer installs? All printers are Ethernet so they have their own IP.
Is there a way I could serve the printers from the Mac server via their IP and they are automatically shared to those MacBooks? The Macs are all going to the same building so I would just serve all the printers there and they can all be added (They all ues the same printers anyway).
Is there a script that might be easier for them to use?
Thanks.
Regards
Keiran.
