Imovies help

Hi,

I bought a 2nd hand iMAC a couple of years ago (10.5.8) with intel 2 core duo. It has a number of basic applications but on the box it states it should have come with Movies Garage band etc etc. I have the disc's which cam with it, how do know if programs are the disc? do I re-install? what happens to the new applications I have bought?

As I remember, GarageBand etc are on a disk labeled iLife. Just reinstall. As to what happens to the rest of your programs, nothing, just as long as you don't erase or reformat your HD.
