I have a 3TB WD Caviar hard drive that was being used on a DROBO second generation. I have removed the drive from the DROBO and have tried to format it using the Disk Utility. Unfortunately, the total capacity reads as 801.57MB rather than ~3TB. I do not think the Disk Utility is recognizing the whole drive because of its use in the DROBO. However, I have to imagine that the capacity is in come way recoverable.
Anyone have any thoughts?
