Can anyone help me remove this Scratch from my Macbook Pro Unibody?

I scratched my computer by hitting it with the door. Hard to explain what that door is made of specially the side but it resulted a major scratch which is bothering me a lot. Can anyone help me fix it some how or shave it so than at least its smooth? Picture is below:

use fine sand paper to smooth it down.

Without replacing the entire case (unibody is expensive) the only viable way is as suggested above. Keep in mind that aluminum, especially molded and polished aluminum, is very easily scratched and marred. You might want to find a metal worker specialty shop or repair and get an estimate from them to do the smoothing and finishing for you.
