Welcome to Mac-Forums

Do you have a wireless network in your house? If so, you should be using some sort of authentication to protect it from unwanted users..like WEP, WPA or WPA2 key..

It's that key that you need to use with your Kobo e-reader to get access to the wireless network and through it the Internet..

If you don't have a wireless network in your house, then you will need to get a wireless router to get your Kobo connected to the Internet..

Thanks Ashwin but I am still confused. I am using a wireless moden but I don't remember setting up any passwords or anything to do with WPA. Where do I look to find out this information.

I would love to know what the thread title "Mr" is supposed to mean.

Thanks,

I have wondered that before, since this isn't the first time we have seen similar. I am beginning to think what may be happening, is people who are unfamilar with forums see the block with its label "Title" and think it means their title as in Mr, Ms, Miss, Dr etc

What brand/model is your Wireless modem? Most of them have some sort of a configuration website you can go to, and if yours has one, then if you go to the Wireless/Security section you should see an option of using some sort of password.

I would strongly recommend that you setup a WPA2 passphrase for your modem to avoid others from jumping onto your wireless connection and using your Internet connection..

Yup, that's what is happening..perhaps a change to "Thread Title" will take care of this..
