Hi I'm new here and have a a couple of questions......
1. I can't play You Tube videos all of a sudden and
2. I run Bit Defender on my MacBook Pro (I'm new to Mac making the switch from PC to Mac a couple of weeks ago) and I'm wondering if this will defend against the virus?

Thanks

There is no virus. It's a Trojan and as long as you keep up to date by downloading the latest updates from Apple, you'll be fine. Read through our Sticky thread on the subject to learn more. Sticky threads are at the top of each forum.

YouTube uses Flash. Do you have Flash installed and working properly? An easy way to test it is to go to this page.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I have the latest version installed. it was working fine and I clicked on another David Gilmour video after watching one and it came up as a black box. Check other You Tube videos and they were all the same, black boxes. It just happened all of a sudden. Very frustrating.

What browser are you using?

Does it do the same thing if you use a different browser?

I'm using Safari. Reinstalled Flash Player and it's working again. Just watched Roger Waters The Wall tour. 2 hours and not a gliche.
Thanks

Okay, good! Sometimes an update for Flash will be released and you'll either missed it or not installed it, and that can cause problems.

Glad you've got it sorted.
