Applescript to change DVD player info color.

I've been trying to make an applescript to change the DVD player info color. But I can't figure out how to specify that the text returned is an RGB color.

display dialog "color?" default answer ""
set text returned to col as RGB color


on col()
tell application "DVD Player"
activate
set info type to wide
set info text color to my col
end tell
end col

The error message of course is "Can't make «handler col» into an RGB color."
