I tried to copy folders (with individual music files) to a separate stick, I took the files from Finder, clicked "Music", opened the iTunes folder and found in "iTunes Media" all the album-folders with the individual songs.
I drafted these folders to the stick and it seemed to copy (it took quite some time). Yet when I opened the folders on the stick, some are empty!

Is there an easy way to copy songs?

Have you verified that the folders that were empty on your stick are not also empty in the iTunes folder on your hard drive?

Thank you for answering.

I doublechecked: the folders all contain music files (m4a or mp3). Funny enough, some were copied... (m4a and mp3)

Sounds like copying failed for some reason for some files. If it was a lot of files, you might have gotten interrupted by the Energy Saver settings: set them to never spin down the hard drive, and not to go to sleep.

Download itunes on your PC and access itunes website from there. This way, you will be able to copy/transfer all media files into your Pc and synchronize them later.

Sorry, I do not quite understand: I have iTunes installed in my Mac. Download again?
