all of a sudden, safari won't allow me to save adobe pages as pdf files. i'm not doing anything different...file>print>save as...>save as pdf. when i click on that option, i get a message saying "saving a pdf file when printing is not supported. Instead choose file > save." when i click on preview, it says "preview is not supported."

i've been downloading my professor's reserve readings in this format all semester long, so i don't know what has changed in the past couple of days. is it an update i downloaded? this is driving me nuts.

Open up your printers utility, sounds like you have a process that is stuck on that, so the computer can't convert to PDF when its trying to print.

worked fine here on mine - you may reset safari or repair your permissions. trashing plists may help as well. Let us know.

...and also what trpnmonkey said. ;)

plists are preference lists, located in your Home folder>Library>Preferences>com.apple.Safari.plist
Throw them away in the Trash can and empty it and restart Safari. It will create new prefs on its own. It's another way to reset all to default.
