Ok I wanted to install Final Cut Studio (2007, version 2.0.1). However I had Lion, and since Rosetta was removed from Lion. I had to create a new partition and downgrade to Snow Leopard. I installed Snow leopard and copied some of my applications from Lion to Snow Leopard. After I finished all the updates for Snow Leopard I tried to install Final Cut Studio, however it brings up this message:

Final Cut Pro cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure FInal Cut Pro works wit this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the applicatio. Be sure to install any avaible updates from the application and Mac OS X.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Well tell us about your Mac whatever it may be. If it is a new model and came with Lion, no going backwards as a rule of thumb.

If it came with Snow Leopard when new, are you using the original system install discs?

This is a new iMac came out last March or something. It came with Snow Leopard, I did use the original install disc. As a matter of fact, I just ended up fixing this problem by finding the file that was missing. However certain applications like DVD Studio that it comes with has had a few problems, when I get the error I'll show it to you. I don't know how these files could be missing. Its all confusing how this works.

I might be wrong because it is a while since I use app that needs Rosetta , but out of my memory when I start the first app that needs Roseta it comes with the remark "You needs Roseta to run this program do wish to install ? "
And when I agreed it download it from the Apple server .
Did you install Roseta ?
