I recently replaced the battery on my macbook 13', before I changed the battery the charger would turn green when plugged in, but it would not start up at all. I have the battery in and it boots up, but it is not charging and the indicator does not light up at all.

Well, either the battery is incorrectly seated, defective or not the right type for your Macbook.

OR the charging cord is going bad. OR the wall outlet you're using is faulty.

Could be any of those things. Should be easy to find out which one it is -- remove the battery and see if the machine can still operate (that should tell you if the cord is bad). If it's not the cord and not the outlet, see my first sentence.
