Hello,

I am new to the forums here (however, I have visited the website many times) and I am looking to purchase a "wallet friendly" external hd for my MacBook Pro. My mac is almost two years old.

Some things you should know:

I am a semi-pro photographer and grad student. Most of the things I would put on th hd would be pictures and docs/papers that I have written.

Also, I HAVE NOT YET upgraded to Lion...Idk why, but I just have not yet done this.

Any advice, information, or positive thoughts are appreciated!

Thank you in advance :)

Your Mac's Specs
21 M1 Pro 14" MBP, 23 M2 Pro Mac Mini (MacOS 14), iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 17), iPad 6 (iPadOS 17)
I use models by Seagate and iOmega - both were ready for use with OSX (sometimes you have to format the disc first) and both came in at around £65 - £70 (but that was a couple of years ago).

Both manufacturers would be able to offer you the capacity you need.
