Elements for windows to iphoto

Just switched to mac. I had ~3K photos which were tagged and well organized in Elements. When I import the backup file to iphoto the photos have none of the tags/keywords except for the date that the photo was taken. This is very distressing since the Apple guy had assured me that the metadata would come over. Any ideas?

Have you loaded elements on the MAC? If not try downloading the 30 day trial at least and see if it sorts them. The data stored to sort in elements may be Adobe specific.
