Permanently disable internet connection

Can the internet connection be permanently disabled to prevent a Macbook being connected online?

Permanently? No I don't think so. If you want to block certain people then I'm sure there are applications.

A better solution might be to use some kind of kid-safe web browsing/filtering software. A free one that I've found is very effective is K9 Web Protection. You can read about it here:

Will check it out. Otherwise, my wife set mom as admin and makes the kid sign in as guest. Connections were disabled. We'll see...
