Hi!..2 icons appear new to me on my desktop..they won't open or give any information on what they are?? The icons look the same with a green top border could be a Lion showing in white in the green border..they are:41D21060 and DCFA5050.
I am guessing they might be something to do with updates to my OS?
Anyone have any ideas!

sorry, no chance to see it - you don't use a web address. upload your picture to a service such as photo bucket (free) and then use the image address to post

You can attach photos by clicking the paper clip icon when writing a post.

Note that the "paper clip icon" is only available when you "go advanced" -- it's not present in the "quick reply."

Those are identified by their icon as Excel spreadsheets, but that' pretty unlikely. I'd just trash them if I were you ... probably some poor virus-riddled PC user sent you an email with these inadvertently and they have failed to infect your Mac.

They won't open and will not drag and open in XL or Word and R/click and selecting "move to trash" brings up "The item can't be moved to the Trash because it can't be deleted"

Restart the computer.

If that doesn't render the files moveable to trash, restart again holding the shift key until you see SAFE MODE. Then you should be able to drag them to the trash.
