So I have a mid 2010 macbook pro 13 inch and it has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade to an i7...Is it?

No not possible. Only things you can upgrade on a notebook is the RAM and the hard drive.

I believe back in the day, you could, but processors are so small now a days that they are customized to the board and soldered on. So no.
