I know how to copy & paste, but is it possible to cut & paste as in windows? Or do i have to continue with copy/paste then move to trash and empty trash?

Thanks louishen, I might give that a try, but I'll wait a while in case anybody else has an idea. According to the Help pages you can use "command X" as a keyboard shortcut but that wouldn't work for me.

Command X works for me, but then again - I have that software installed

This issue was discussed recently, and you're incorrect louishen -- as of Lion, cut and paste in Finder works.

From another thread:
There is an easy solution if you have OSX Lion. Copy the file with Cmd+C, navigate to the target folder and hold the Alt/Option key while you paste the file with Cmd+V. Lion will move rather than copy the file.

(I didn't know this either until I read the above.)

Way... way too many specs to list.
Interesting, I'd never have found that. Then again, I don't use Finder to copy, or move, files. Nice to know though.
