ok so i for some reason remember there being an option in messages that would either let me see the list of messages every time i touch my "messages" icon or the other option was for when i touch the "messages" icon it would take me to the last message i read replied to or whatever. anyway i noticed that my phone doesn't notify me when i get another message because the message from that person is already on the screen "behind the scenes" ugh :
