Hi all, this happens sometimes to me, whether I receive a full and free wifi connection (like in some airports), or password access to it, I can see I am fully connected but internet is not working at all. The thing upsets me particularly as others with pc seems not to have this problem... is there any trick I need to know in newtwork preferences? Thanks a lot. ;)

You must have a bad card if you can not get wi-fi at all .

As I said, it just happened a few times, and one time I managed to solve the problem by changing some parameters on network prefs, of course I can't remember how I did it... If the card is bad as you say, then I will have often problems in connecting, but I don't.

Could it be something else? thanks

apple - system preference - highlight wifi - click on "advanced" button - go to tcp/ip tab / click on "renew DHCP lease" button

it might work chances like 20%
