PDF to Word Conversion

I have been trying to convert a PDF document to Word with no luck. There are several free programs out there but they all seem to be geared towards Windows, not Mac. Anybody have any ideas? I don't want to retype a 200 page document, surely with Mac there must be a way! Macs rule! Thanks for any help.

It all depends on how the document is protected.

But you can just open it in Preview and copy and paste the text. You'll lose formatting etc but you'll have the content.

Depends if it needs to be an exact copy

I use Acrobat Pro. But it's not free.

I think you might be able to do it using adobe reader (free).. you could also try Free PDF to Word an online converter (not sure if it has limits tho). 100% freeware to convert your documents from PDF to Word preserving its original formatting and layout | [FlipPDF.com] totally free..

I haven't tried these so hopefully they are good..

If your pdf is not large or confidential, you can try online converter like pdftoword.com, if you wanna get it done offline, I tried this PDF to Word Converter, also available in the MAS, works pretty well.

I used to have a program that did the trick it just extracted the words from the PDF. Although it did lose the format. I think it was call PDF OCD. I think... There is also an app called PDF Pen which I found very useful it allowed you to edit the text directly with in the PDF.

LOL. Probably more like PDF OCR, but I really like your version better!
