I'm a newbie and apologies in advance if I have posted this as an incorrect thread.

I have about 10 years experience with Windows domains and very little with macs!

I work in a small school and we have an increasing number of macs so I realised I needed to do something toward trying to make the kit work better together.

I'm ok nowadays with binding Macs to the Windows 2008 R2 domain but toward allowing students and staff gain access to the work they have saved my reading tells me that a Mac Mini Server and establishing a Magic Triangle is probably the way to go.

We have now purchased a Mac Mini Server and before I take it out the box and have a go at setting it up I was wondering if anyone has good advice they can point me toward about how to do it correctly please? :Blushing:

For starters...have you tried doing a "Google Search"?

This is what I do when I have a question of this nature. I did a quick Google search using the term "Setting Up a Macintosh Server"...and got lots of info. Specifically I found this one (setting up a Mac-Mini server)::)

How To Set Up A Mac mini Server.

Just the job - thank you Pigoo3. Very much appreciated.

Awesome...you're welcome!:)

Of course if you have additional questions that no internet searches seem to be able to answer...or answer well...please post!
