Turning off iphone ringer in my ear buds

Hi all,

I switched over to the iphone 4s a few months back from a Blackberry and love it.

My phone is primarily set on vibrate all day and I have my ear buds plugged into the phone and in my ear most of the day at school.

The phone still rings in my ear buds very loudly even though I have it set to vibrate. How do I stop this?

Surely if you're in school, you should take your buds out and pay attention? This will not only improve your grades, but has the added side benefit of eliminating the problem.
