Ipod classic resets web I press play on all songs

My iPod was working fine until a week ago I bought a new of and didn't want to sync it and lose all of my music because a lot of the artist are not on iTunes. What happens now sinc I pulled the songs off of the iPod is that when I press play it just shuts off but all of the other functions work fine I can scroll change settings so on so forth but as soon as I try to play a song it says now playing and doesn't play then I restets itself I really need help I'm leaving for Afghanistan soon and I can't afford another iPod classic

Your only option would be to restore the iPod and loose all of the songs on it... if you are on a mac you can use this expod for Mac - Download.com to get the music off of it before you restore it. Good luck!
