Dear all,

I have a MacBook 13' and I can't life without it anymore.
But it's been two weeks he's acting weird.
I have a 3 cm vertical bar that turns suddenly black or grey.
When I put pressure with my left hand on the screen, it disappears. But I can't do that for ours.

Does anyone knows what to do with this without buying myself a new LCD?
I think it's a bad contact somewhere in my screen.

Thanks!

Grtz

Have you dropped it at all?

My iPad did something very similar, because I stepped on it. :\ Apple took pity on me though and replaced the iPad free of charge.

How old is your Macbook? If it's still within warranty then they'll replace the screen/Macbook, because that to me looks like a hardware issue.

I agree with Chuckoir. Looks like the LCD for sure. It could be the Cable that goes between the LCD and the Motherboard, but I have had many LCD's do that.

Also like Chuckoir asked, did the screen get hit in anyway?

I never dropped it.
I unplugged the cable of my LCD on my motherboard and plugged it in again. But nothing changed.
The only thing that helps is pushing with my fingers on my screen, down on the left side of the 'MacBook' sign.

You probably need a new LCD, it may be cheaper and smarter to get a new macbook air/pro that has more power then to replace the screen in a 4-5 year old macbook.
