I recently paired my MacBook Pro with my tablet, which is an Acer Iconia Tab A500. Although they have been paired using bluetooth, when I connected the tablet to the cpu via USB connection, the MacBook Pro wouldn't show the tablet as a storage device. In fact it wouldn't show it at all. I was wondering if there was a way to cause it to show the tablet because it gets kind of old having to reconnect the tablet to my old Windows laptop in order to move files/photos via drag n drop. Thankfully, I finally got it to work yesterday. I went to laptopmag.com, downloaded the video and the app in the links below and my MacBook Pro shows my tablet now. If anyone else is having this problem, please share.

Good links. Worth noting it seems to be a shortcoming of Honeycomb.

I have ICS running on a Touchpad and my daughter has a Galaxy SIi running Gingerbread and both mount as USB storage with issue or additional software

I believe you're right; I'm still running Honeycomb. Not sure when/if ICS is coming to the Acer and if that will fix anything. Thankfully, I don't have to wait until then to find out lol.
