I was repairing permissions on my computer and it crashed. I rebooted to find my external HDs had a lock on their icons on the desktop and when I tried to access them they would not let me in. I did get info and found the access had been changed to custom and when I tried to change it to read/write it just changed back to Custom.

I have gone to terminal and run the following:

ls -alOe /Volumes
id
diskutil list
df
echo "done"

This is my result

In addition my computer seems to have no ability to print any longer and states that the print driver is installed incorrectly, even after I reinstall it.

Can anyone out there tell me what i should do to regain access???

Thank you.

Hi and thank you for your reply!

Unfortunately I have done that. The main disk shows OK, nothing to repair and the permissions are supposedly OK too. The ext drives disks show OK, nothing to repair and the permissions are grayed out so I cannot even get to that.

I had understood, I thought that the way to repair this was through terminal and that part of my problem may be in the uchg in the code and I also notice that there is a "everyone deny" written at the top of the code response to my running of terminal code ls -alOe /Volumes

Any help?
