I set up a user at my work with dual desktop monitors connected to his Macbook. I used a Matrox Dualhead and everything works fine, but the problem is that when a program or folder is opened up, it opens in the middle where the 2 screens split. He is running the latest OS of Lion.

Is there a way to set a location of where the window opens up on the screen?

I'm still trying to get use to Mac.

I haven't used that specific product but have used external monitors for some time. If I understand your question correctly try the following:

1. Open an app and let it open wherever it appears.
2. Drag the programs window/screen to the monitor you want ti to appear on.
3. Quit the program completely then re-open it to make sure it appears where you left it.

In general most program windows appear on whatever screen they were on the last time you quit that program.
