Hi,
I have an iMac (2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 800 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM) that came with Leopard pre-installed. I upgraded to Snow Leopard some time back. (Version 10.6.8).

My problem is, I cannot seem to download the App store and, according to software update, my software is up to date, so it should be somewhere on my Mac.
Do I need to reinstall Snow Leopard from the Disc, or is there some other work-around?
Thanks for any help.

Hello, click on the Apple, top left hand side of the menu bar, and in the drop down should be the App Store.
Failing that it should be visible in your Applications folder.

Hope this helps,

Cheers :)

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I’m afraid it’s not in either of those locations, and spotlight can’t locate it anywhere on my Mac.

I thought this kind of thing only happened on PC’s!

It should be in Applications and (see the link below) should be a blue circle with a triangle formed from a pen, brush and ruler

Apple - App Store - Buy, download, and install apps made for Mac.

EDIT: If you don't have it, I would suggest downloading the OS X 10.6.8 combo updater and installing

Ha ha, I had to go outside to do some work but I had the Combo Update page open on the iPad ready to copy the link in.

And Chris, good luck :)

Cheers :)

Thank you.
The app store is listed in applications, but is ‘damaged or incomplete’. I will try your suggestions before reposting.
Cheers.
