I am replacing my internal 500GB HDD with an 240GB SSD in my iMac. I would also like to get an external for my larger files like iTunes media and whatnot. I originally was looking at the WD Passport but it's only USB 2.0. I think I would like firewire 800 for speed but want something thats quiet too. I was considering either the Lacie portable drive or the seagate 1TB drive, both have firewire 800. Does anyone recommend one over the other or something else? Would the WD Passport be quick enough? Also how are the noise on those drives? Thanks
