FaceTime not working on I pod touch

I try to FaceTime from my I pad to I touch but get ringing tone but no connection even with good Internet connection. Yet it works if I call to I phones? What can I do??

First thing: check to make sure you're not using the same email address for both the iPad and the iPod Touch. If you are, change one of them to something else.
