I am working out a deal to buy this broken Apple notebook for parts, and I am not sure what model it is. The seller only has this information and the pictures below:

800 Mhz, 256 MB installed, 30 GB HArd Drive, Combo drive

Announced in November 2002, the iBook (Early 2003) was a speed bump of the previous iBook series. The 700 MHz CD-ROM model sold for $999. The 800 MHz Combo drive model sold for $1299, and the 14.1" 800 MHz Combo drive model sold for $1499.

Thank you everyone. The guy just got back in tocuh with me. Yes, it is a 12" G4 800Mhz. Any idea on how much I should offer him? It needs a new logic board. Everything is else works fine and is included (Disks, Battery, Charger, and etc.)

i wouldnt say much if it needs a new logic board...maybe a couple hundred bucks...its going to cost you about 800$ for a logic board probably
so maybe 200$ id offer him
but its hard to say you know !!

Yeah and if you look at the pics you'll see that this model doesn't have a translucent white keyboard, but a solid white one that only the G4 models had.
Also below the screen it clearly says iBook + something (G4), whereas the G3 model only said iBook.

I wouldn't bother to be honest...
A logic board is difficult and expensive to get fixed...
Unless you can get it for 50-100$, forget it and get something from apple's refurbished store instead...
