Saved photos

downloaded photos sometime show up in the camera. Sometimes when I receive a photo through e-mail or a text message and save it, it goes to the camera as if I took the pic with the camera.

It goes to Photos, which is what's opened when you open Photos from the camera.

I know it goes to photos but when I open the camera to take a picture it shows a picture that was sent to me ( and I saved from and e-mail) in the little square box in the left hand corner. This has happened a couple of times.

Yes, that little box is showing you your Camera Roll. Pictures sent to you by text will automatically go into the Camera Roll. I didn't know pics sent in messages you read on the (whatever iOS device you have, you didn't say) also go there, but maybe they do.

What exactly is your question?

Chas, they do. All images end up in camera-roll. Even if you make other albums.
