I attempted installing Windows XP via Boot Camp. The attempt failed and I came to terms with with plans to try Windows 7 later. Anyway, my hard drive was still partitioned. Yesterday, I turned off my MacBook and when I turned it back on this morning it gave me an error message saying that I was missing the OS. I held down option and the only hard drive option it gave was for the Windows partition (nothing is on there though). Does anyone have experience with this? The crappy thing is that I don't think I can boot with Snow Leopard. I have a single use disc. I appreciate any help. I've just never heard of the entire Mac OS jumping ship.

Reset the PRAM and try again. If that doesn't work, you may be looking at a reinstall of OS X.
