How do I know when my computer needs more memory? And where do I find out how much memory I have left. I know that you go to the apple menu, about this Mac then more info.....but where in the left side panel do you go.

Crystal - the way you've used "memory" isn't how we use memory when talking about computers.
Memory is short term, and is lost when power is off. We call that RAM.
Hard drive space, disk space and storage space are all terms we use for long term file and folder storage on a hard drive.
To find out how much you have, single-click on the hard drive, then do File > Get Info or command-i.
