codec-m plugin !!

hello everyone
yesterday i was watching online movie then today this thing "codec-m plug-in" shows up
so i download this thing and everything went wrong
my safari started to slow down and takes long time to respond
and every time i open i website this certificate of akamai subordinate CA3 + XD something proxy
i have no idea what should i do now

is this thing a malware
and if it was how can i remove it
please help

Not to worry

You should have kept the download file that you installed codec-m with. In there is a uninstall feature. Very strange for a malware program, but it seemed to work nonetheless. Checked the activity monitor and other system places and nothing out of the ordinary is running.

Uninstall Coded-M Plugin

To uninstall this plug in, go to Safari>Preferences>Extensions. Once there you should see the plugin and have the option to uninstall it. Hope this helps.
