What a beautiful machine the IMac but what a disappointment... Excel is not compatible.
What to do now?
I miss my old EMac...

Excel should be compatible but it depends what version you're running. What version of Office and OS X are you running? It sounds like you're running a PowerPC version of Office on a machine with a version of OS X that only supports Intel machines.

Thanks for the reply,

OS X 10.7.3
Excel is 2011 but the problem is the same with 2008. No problem with same on MacBook...
The problem is the page is jumping, cannot get to a cell, page keeps moving to the right or down

Excel 2011 works just fine with OS X Lion - I use it here myself regularly. It sounds as if you might accidentally be hitting a trackpad or mouse. This would explain the random jumping and movement.

Well! I wish it was. It is not accidental but constant.
Why does it work on the laptop... it has to be with I Mac

No, it's not a hardware problem. It's a software problem that is occurring only on one computer, and not on your other one. What have you already tried to resolve this? It always helps to share that information at the outset so people don't suggest things that haven't worked.

Sounds like you have your "Scroll Lock" activated. (Don't know if there is a Scroll Lock key on an IMac, but there is on windows machines... it's up near the "Print Screen" keys.

(In windows) when you press the "Scroll Lock" key and scroll lock is activated, the page moves and the selected cell remains in the same relative position on the screen.

When Scroll Lock is deactivated (press "Scroll Lock" again - it's a toggle activation) the page remains steady on the screen and the cell selector moves instead.

Well! I am back. I did every thing I know and still have the problem. I went to the Apple store and showed to one Guru by playing with IMacs in the show room, they all have the same problem. He said he will look for a solution...

I have excel and use it frequently. Can you post exact steps to recreate the problem?

Open the Universal Access preference pane and make sure you are in the "seeing" tab. Is Zoom Text on? If so either turn it off or go to the options and see if follow mouse cursor is one.

That is a shot in the dark but it caused similar behavior in another program recently.

Well I'm sorry I can't be of more help, just tried it on new and existing sheets and it works just fine.
