I have a MacBook. Unfortunately I dropped it and the screen case cracked. The mac still works with no problems but the Wifi barley works. You have to be right on top of the base station. Does anyone know of any work arounds? Such as a wireless USB antenna etc? I went to the Apple store and was told it would cost over $300 to fix.

Thanks

The wifi and bluetooth antennas are in the screen assembly. They run up the sides of the screen. It is possible that you broke the antenna when you dropped it.

Unfortunately I do not know which USB wifi adapters work with OS X, but someone else on the forums might.
