I just installed a driver for my hp printer hoping desperately that this would finally make it work with my mac. It didn't, instead it screwed up my volume so that I can't hear anything. I deleted almost all of it except for about 4 files I like to call "HP death files" because the obvious purpose of these files were to crash macs everywhere, if I click the trash can right now a window pops up and says you need to restart your computer. Now when I try to empty the trash these files are apparently being used, is there anyway to kill these files?

Ok Nevermind I put the installer in the trash with the files and it all deleted smoothly, I'm going to re-start and see if the sound works now. I may need some further help with the sound.

The sound still doesn't work, the drop down in the menu bar is gray and my keyboard sound controls do nothing.

What was causing the sound problem? Curious in case someone else runs into it so I can help them. Will help others also.
