I have an HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One printer several years old. Just had to reinstall it to re-establish wireless reception but now I can no longer scan. There was no option or selection pertaining to the scanner in the installation CD. I have looked twice for it. Any ideas on how to get my scanner going?

Was the scanner working before you reinstalled the printer? Also, have you tried downloading drivers from the HP web site?

I don't understand what you mean by:

"Just had to reinstall it to re-establish wireless reception"

Did you have wireless scanning working previously, and if so, how? I tried but came to the conclusion that it was not possible. Would appreciate a heads-up if you did do it?

my scanner was working wirelessly but I don't remember doing anything special to make that happen. It was part of the initial installation, I suppose. Then somehow the printer could not establish the connection one day. That's when I had to delete all the HP software and reinstall.
