Hi All,
This morning I turned on my computer and found that microsoft word was missing. I couldn't find it anywhere on the computer, so I downloaded it again from my original disc. Now is appears on my tool bar, but when I try to open it I get the following message:

Post moved here as it does not belong in "Running Windows".

As to your question:

Completely remove Office 2011 from your machine and try reinstalling. Something is corrupt and causing it not to open. You can not drag Office 2011 to the Trash, however. Follow the Microsoft instructions given here in their KB article.

And alas that will take an hour or two of your time as it is a slow process. As Office 2011 does not have an uninstaller, you have no option but to do as chscag suggested.
