Right fan doesnt work, can i use my macbook?

Hello,

I have a late 2007 macbook pro, the right fan stopped working and i ordered a new one. It'll take 7 days to ship to my place. Is it safe to use my mac or should i keep it off until my new fan arrives?

My instinct would be refrain and patience...... wait til the new fan arrives.

If I had to use my Mac I'd keep it to light duties and use it on a cool, dry, hard surface (and hope that the sensor over temperature protection will shut the Mac down if it overheated).
