What's the best way to prepare a MacBook Pro for a new owner. I don't have much personal data on it right now, but I do want to make sure I take off what is there before handing it over to its new owner.

Thanks.

Use the original install disks, boot to the disc, and install a fresh copy of the Operating System. it'll be like it was out of the shop.

Even better if you have the original discs is erase and format the drive and allow the buyer to do his/her own install, setup passwords etc. All part of nthe learning experience.

If you secure erase your hard drive then you will be sure that all of your info is off of the machine for the next owner.
