I just bought my laptop yesterday and had some aps installed by the imac store.
When he set it up, my 'home' folder is named wrong as is my 'public' folder.
So now I have 2 different names and both incorrect. Any idea how to change both ?

I'm probably not explaining it well at all:Grimmace:

We know what your Home folder is but what are you referring to by "Public" folder? And by the way, it's risky to change your home folder name especially if you're a new user. Here's how to do it according to Apple. LINK

We network between 4 computers and only allow other users into a 'public' folder rather than the whole computer. Its essential to have the correct name show up while 'sharing'.

I am not exactly a newbie, but my laptop is new, I have had my imac for 2 years.
I will try it.
THANK YOU for your response.
