Hello

I have a macbook pro 13"

now i have a quite basic question,

Is the recording quality of the internal mic of the macbook pro better or if i connect the headset of the iphone will i get a better quality recording ?

Might not be a lot of difference. What exactly are you trying to record?

I want to record my voice in garage band... I tried connecting an external philips corded mic but tht din't work.. So don't exactly know how to get a good quality recording...

I think I see the problem but can't confirm it without knowing the exact model of mic. If it has the connector that looks like a headphone jack then you will need either a mic pre amp or a device such as the iMic from Griffin technologies. The problem arises because the Mac 's jack is looking for a higher level signal than these mics generate.
