Power Point 2011 won't open on Mac Pro

Installed PP on my Mac Pro (OS 10.6.8) as part of MS Office 2011
Also installed this on wife's Mac Book Air.

All programs run on Mac Book Air
Power point is the only program that will NOT open on Mac Pro.

Error message says check w/ developer to make sure it works with Mac OS X version I'm running, check for updates, etc.

Re-installed MS Office 2011 and PP still will NOT open...getting same error message.
WORD & EXCEL work fine

Have you upgraded Office to version 14.1.4 on both machines? You can update Office by going to Help in the Menu Bar and select Check form Updates.

Got on w/ MS support & we basically REMOVED the entire Office for Mac 2011 & re-installed it.

Problem was resolved though MS tech said there would be an option to update to 14.1.4
but after updating to 14.1.0, updater said there were NO OTHER updates.

It's working for now so that's cool
