first time Mac owner

Hey all,
just bought a used Macbook Pro 13'' mid 2009 model 2.26 Ghz Core 2 Duo with 6 GB ram and a 320 GB 7200 hard drive. this is my first attempt at using a Mac, been wanting to for a while but was looking for an inexpensive model.
I've been lurking around the forum the last couple days to learn the basics, this forum seems pretty good so far, i think i'll be learning a lot from this place. thanks for setting up a great place to learn.
