My 2008 macbook, recently decided to stop its backlight working. It only works when the screen is opened to an angle of 15 degrees then the screen appears to go blank. But at closer inspection under a bright light the images on the screen can be seen just with no back-light.
After taken to a Stormfront store they suggest in may be the invertor that would need replacing.
I sent to repairmyapple.co.uk and after about 3 weeks they suggested replacing the whole screen, but due to only replacing the screen about 6 months ago, and not being able to afford it, I asked them to replace the invertor and cable which they did.
The repair didn't work and to top it off the battery is now completely dead, doesn't charge or even display battery levels on the bottom.
Please advise about the screen issues!
