Hi,

at work we have a PIX 501 firewall and I have no problems VPN'ing into work from Windows, Ubuntu or Mac OS X. When trying to connect using the built-in Cisco VPN client for IPSEC on the iPad there are more options than with the other operating systems. Can someone explain to me what should be in the following fields as per attached image:

Description = self explanatory
Server = I am assuming server ip address
Account =
Password =
Group Name =
Secret =

in the other operating systems I only have

Connection Entry =
Description =
Host =
Vpn group =
Vpn password =

Any help is much appreciated as if can't get VPN working iPad is a no no for work.

Many thanks in advance

You can grab most of that information from the PCF file used by your machines to connect to the VPN..

The pcf doesnt contain everything, e.g. the other machines have no mention of secret and I can't import the pcf into the iPad.

Turns out something has to be installed on the PIX itself to create a username and password; currently waiting on someone else to do that.
