iTunes 10.5.3 won't work on OS10.7

Anytime I try to use iTunes I get a message that says, "iTunes cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure iTunes works with this version of Mac OSX. You may need to reinstall any available updates for the application and Mac OS X."

I've restarted, reinstalled/uninstalled and reinstalled again. All of my software is up to date.
